Ukraine crisis: Security tight at Kiev checkpoint

With tensions in eastern Ukraine continuing to escalate, security has been tightened around Kiev.

At least nine checkpoints have been set up on roads around the Ukrainian capital, manned by the police and members of the Maidan self-defence units, checking passing vehicles for possible weapons or explosives.
