Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor on canonisation : 'Two great men'

27 April 2014 Last updated at 00:12 BST

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor has described Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II as "two such great men but very contrasting".

The Vatican will hold the simultaneous canonisation by Pope Francis of the two 20th-Century popes, who led the transition of the world's oldest international organisation into the modern world.

It's the first time in history that two living popes, Francis and former Pope Benedict, will be witnessing the canonisation of two of their predecessors.
