Dissident republican inquiry: Fake cash found and three arrests

Three men have been arrested and fake cash found by police investigating dissident republican activity in the Republic of Ireland.

Three men in their 40s were arrested in Dublin on Sunday, but GardaĆ­ (Irish police) have just released details.

Four homes in north Dublin and a commercial premises in County Meath were searched as part of the enquiry.

A garda spokesman said printing equipment, computers and "a large sum of counterfeit money" were seized.

The three men, aged 42, 44 and 47, were detained on Dublin's North Circular Road.

Two of them are being questioned at Bridewell police station and the other men is being interviewed in Mountjoy station.

Members of the Garda Special Detective Unit were involved in the operation, along with other police units.
