Hollande: 'Private matters should be dealt with privately'

French President Francois Hollande faced a question at a news conference regarding claims in a magazine that he had been having an affair with an actress.

He said that "private matters should be dealt with privately."

Earlier on Tuesday it was announced that French First Lady Valerie Trierweiler would remain in hospital, where she had been since the magazine published the accusations.
