Latvian supermarket collapse: PM Valdis Dombrovskis resigns

The Latvian prime minister has resigned, triggering the fall of his government, after a supermarket collapsed in the capital Riga, killing 54 people.

Valdis Dombrovskis, the longest serving leader in Latvia's history, made the announcement in the wake of the deadliest disaster since the country declared its independence from the Soviet Union 21 years ago.
