Two men released after questioning over bomb parts found in Monaghan

Two men arrested following the discovery of bomb-making components in County Monaghan at the weekend have been released.

A police spokesman said a file was being sent to the Republic's Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The men were arrested in a van in the early hours of Saturday morning as part of a police investigation into dissident republican activity.

The men were questioned in Monaghan town and released on Sunday evening.
