German polls 'narrowing' as Merkel strives for third term

Germans head to the polls on Sunday, in an election which many commentators are now suggesting is too close to call.

Angela Merkel is on course to win a third term as Chancellor, but the German political system means she will need to form a coalition, and there is no indication yet as to who with.

Gavin Hewitt reports from the campaign trail in Munich.
