'Eyesore' bridge opened in Dresden

A controversial bridge in Germany has been opened after years of argument and litigation.
The four-lane structure over the River Elbe in Dresden was deemed such an eyesore that the city was removed from UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites, the only site ever to be removed in Europe.
UNESCO said it marred the view of Dresden's magnificent baroque palaces.
This weekend, the bridge is being inaugurated with street festivities. The first regular traffic crosses it on Monday.
The BBC's Germany correspondent Steve Evans reports.
