French museum brings robots back to life

France's history as a pioneer of automatons is being celebrated at a new exhibition.

Historically, mechanical figures were displayed in shop windows in Paris to entertain crowds.

The tradition died out with the closure of the last factory in 1995.

The BBC's Hugh Schofield reports from Paris.
