Rival same-sex marriage marches in Paris

Help

Tens of thousands of people have marched through Paris in a final protest against a law legalising same-sex marriage and adoption.

Both houses of the French parliament have already approved the bill which is expected to be passed in a second reading on Tuesday.

The openly gay mayor of Paris headed a rival march through the capital in favour of same-sex marriage.

Julie Peacock reports.
