Pope Benedict XVI asks English audience: 'Pray for me'
Pope Benedict XVI has been holding his final general audience in St Peter's Square before his resignation takes effect on Thursday.
Fifty thousand tickets were requested and up to 200,000 people may attend the event, which - unusually for a winter audience - is being held outdoors.
Whilst addressing English-speaking audience, he asked for prayers for himself and the new Pope.
