Pope resignation: Vatican prepares for final appearance
Pope Benedict XVI will make his last public appearance in St Peter's Square on Wednesday.
The Vatican has answered some of the outstanding questions about Pope Benedict XVI's future once he has retired, saying he will be known as "pope emeritus" and continue to wear a white cassock.
