Horsemeat scandal: France blames processor Spanghero
French meat processing company Spanghero knowingly sold horsemeat labelled as beef, the French government has said.
Its licence is being suspended while investigations continue.
Spanghero has denied the allegations, saying it had only ever dealt in meat it believed to be beef.
But French consumer affairs minister Benoit Hamon told a press conference that there were a number of factors that should have alerted Spanghero to the nature of the meat, including a customs code, and the price.
