Man charged with stabbing Irishman in Australia

A 32-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with the stabbing of an Irishman in Perth, Australia at the weekend.

Vincent Martin Crowe was charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

The injured man, a 21-year-old from County Wexford, remains in a critical condition after he was stabbed in the neck in the Scarborough area.

Dublin's Department of Foreign Affairs is assisting his family.
