EU budget summit wrestles over cuts

EU leaders are edging towards a compromise deal on the 2014-2020 budget after all-night talks, officials say.

EU President Herman van Rumpoy, who is chairing the summit, has urged compromise and to keep the EU budget focused on growth, innovation and creating jobs.
