Deep freeze sweeps through Ukraine

Freezing temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius have killed 37 people in Ukraine, 19 of them in the last 24 hours.

Many died of exposure as temperatures continue to plummet. Authorities have set up heated shelters to help save lives.
