Jacky Lumi charged over Ballymun murder

A 41-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a man in Ballymun in Dublin, in the Irish Republic.

Jacky Lumi, of no fixed abode, and originally from the Netherlands, was charged with the murder of Kamal El Habsati, a Dutch citizen working in the city.

He was found stabbed to death at the Linnbhla Apartment Complex in Ballymun on 5 December.

His body was discovered a few days after his murder.

A court in Dublin heard Mr Lumi was arrested at 13.15 GMT at Ballymun Garda Station.

When charged with the murder, he had made no reply.

Mr Lumi was remanded in custody to appear again at Clover Hill District Court next week.
