North Sea cargo ship collision rescue called off

Dutch authorities have called off the rescue operation in the North Sea, where a cargo ship sank after colliding with another vessel off the Dutch coast.

Four crew members from the Baltic Ace have been found dead, with another seven still missing and now feared dead. Rescue efforts were severely hampered by rough seas.

Netherlands Coastguard spokesman Peter Verburg, said the chances of finding the remaining crew members alive were extremely slim.
