Russian National Orchestra and London Philharmonic perform together

Help

It is an ambitious project to bring together two of the world's major orchestras in one performance.

The London Philharmonic and the Russian National Orchestra are playing at London's Southbank Centre under the baton of conductor Vladimir Jurowski.

The short season is called War and Peace, and for the final work - Shostakovich's Leningrad Symphony - members of both orchestras will play on stage together.

Jurowski has been telling the BBC about his latest musical challenge.
