A man has been charged in connection with the death of a 25-year-old woman in Dublin on Friday.

Mother-of-two Anna Finnegan died in hospital after she was stabbed at her home in Clonsilla shortly before 21:00 BST.

Her brother was also injured in the attack. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 31-year-old man is due to appear at Blanchardstown District Court on Monday.

Ms Finnegan's two children were asleep in the house at the time of the attack but were not injured.
