China's Prime Minister Wen Jiabao is due to attend his final EU summit in Brussels on Thursday.

Vice-President Xi Jinping is expected to become China's next Communist Party chief and president in October. Analyst say the aim of the summit is to consolidate relations rather than make key decisions.

But EU sources say arrangements for the summit have not been entirely smooth.

Chris Morris reports.
