EU chief Jose Manuel Barroso on the future of Europe
EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso has said that the EU will remain "highly relevant" to the people of Europe for years to come.
In a wide-ranging interview with the BBC's Shaun Ley Mr Barroso said he expected a strong recovery from the current economic woes in the eurozone, and defended the democratic credentials of the European institutions.
