The Munich massacre remembered
Memorial ceremonies are taking place in Germany to mark the 40th anniversary of the killing of 11 Israeli athletes and coaches during the Olympic Games in Munich.
On 5 September 1972, eight gunmen burst into the Israeli athletes' quarters, killing two immediately and taking nine athletes and coaches hostage
