Lufthansa stike: Union leader praises ‘incredible participation’

Cabin crew at the German airline, Lufthansa are taking strike action over pay.

The eight-hour stoppage involves staff at its main base in Frankfurt and is due to go on until 1300 local time.

Nicoley Baublies, the head of the union representing cabin crew (UFO), said he was pleased with the turn-out.
