Barroso talks economy with new PM in Athens
The President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, is visiting Athens.
It is his first trip to Greece since the country received financial bail-outs and it comes as inspectors from the EU and the International Monetary Fund consider whether Greece has done enough to get its next lot of bail-out loans.
Thrasy Petropoulis is editor of the English language newspaper Athens News and told BBC Radio 5 live's eMorning Reports that the visit by the EU Commissioner was coming as a surprise.
