Liechtenstein holds referendum on royal powers


The people of the principality of Liechtenstein are to vote in a referendum to decide whether to reduce the power of the royal family.

Supporters claim the proposal to remove the Crown Prince's right to veto decisions taken in nationwide ballots would at last bring real democracy to Liechtenstein.
