Profile: Dionisis Daradanis
Our panel of Greek residents share their experiences of living in Greece during this tense political and economic time. Here, Dionisis Daradanis describes his background.
Profession: Freelance journalist and part-time office employee
"I started this work when I finished the mandatory military service in June 2011. Between the 'pocket money' I earn as a freelance journalist and the office job, I take home around 700 euros per month.
I live with my parents. It's just the three of us in the house. My father is retired and my mother works as an accountant in a shop.
The measures that have hit us the hardest so far are the 23% increase in taxes on food and daily necessities, the temporary tax on annual income and the property tax."
