Rally follows punk church protest in Moscow
Tens of thousands of people in Moscow have attended a prayer rally in support of the Russian Orthodox Church.
It follows a protest in February by an all-female punk group at a city cathedral, who burst in and performed a song criticising Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the church leadership.
Three members of the band Pussy Riot remain in police custody. Their detention has caused an outcry among human rights organisations with Amnesty International declaring them "prisoners of conscience".
