Queen Margrethe II of Denmark marks 40 years on the throne
Queen Margrethe II of Denmark is marking the 40th anniversary of her succession to the country's throne.
She became the first female sovereign of Denmark in 1972 following the death of her father, King Frederick IX.
To mark her Ruby Jubilee, Queen Margrethe spoke to the BBC's Europe Correspondent Chris Morris.
He started by asking the Queen for her thoughts about celebrating her milestone in the same year as the UK's Queen Elizabeth II marks her Diamond Jubilee.
