Basque hopes as Eta ends armed struggle

On Thursday, the Basque separatist group Eta announced it would end its armed struggle, declaring a "definitive cessation" of bombings and shootings.

Spain's prime minister, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, hailed the news as a "victory for democracy, law and reason".

Residents of the city of San Sebastian, in Spain's Basque country, gave their reaction to the news.
