Strauss-Kahn says he regrets 'liaison' with hotel maid
The French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn has given his first interview since he was accused of attempting to rape a maid at a hotel in New York.
Mr Strauss Kahn, who resigned as head of the International Monetary Fund, told the television channel TF1 that it was a moral failing but not rape.
Although prosecutors dropped the criminal charges, the maid Nafissatou Diallo is still pursuing a civil action against him.
The BBC's Christian Fraser reports.
