BBC colleagues ask Tajikistan to release journalist Urunboy Usmonov
BBC journalists are holding a vigil in London to demand the release of one of their colleagues, who was imprisoned in Tajikistan last week.
The authorities have charged Urunboy Usmonov with association with the banned Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir. The BBC says the allegations against the 59-year-old are unfounded.
Speaking from the vigil at Bush House in London, one of Mr Usmonov's colleagues, Diloram Ibrahimova, appealed for his release.
