Help

Pope Benedict XVI is to organise a summit of world religious leaders to discuss how they can promote world peace.

The head of the global Catholic Church announced the plan at the end of a Mass in which he called on Christians facing religious intolerance not to be discouraged.

The meeting is to take place in Assisi, the birthplace of Saint Francis, in October.
