Anti-gay clashes flare in Belgrade

Help

Riot police in the Serbian capital Belgrade have fought running battles with hundreds of far-right supporters who tried to disrupt a Gay Pride march in the city.

Officers sealed off the streets where the march took place, repeatedly clashing with protesters trying to burst through security cordons.

At least 46 people, most of them police officers, were injured.

Mark Lowen reports from Belgrade.
