Silvio Berlusconi's staying power amid controversy

Help

Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, is insisting his government will last until the end of its term in 2013.

During a speech to centre-right Young Italy members in Rome, where he ruled out early elections, Mr Berlusconi also made some controversial comments.

Using humour with his audience he told some unconventional jokes, including one about Adolf Hitler's comeback.

Duncan Kennedy reports from Rome.
