NZ teacher describes moment volcano erupted
A teacher has been describing the moment a volcano in New Zealand rumbled to life during a school trip with his students.
Paul Lowes had taken the group from Tamatea Intermediate School on a science outing to Mount Tongariro on the North Island, when it erupted for the second time since August.
Mr Lowes told the BBC that the teenagers cheered as they watched clouds of ash spew into the sky.
