Bangkok postman persists despite heavy flooding
High tides and heavy monsoon rains have left several districts in Bangkok swamped by water for more than a week.
But postman Somyod Somsamai is braving waist-deep, leech-infested water to continue mail deliveries in a community near the swollen Chao Phraya river.
As Thailand faces its worst floods for 50 years, he offers a welcome connection to normal life, which has been seriously disrupted for many of the city's residents.
Dimitri O'Donnell reports.
