Authorities in China say they found more than 100 tonnes of a toxic type of cooking oil scooped up from drains behind restaurants, recycled and sold at a low price.
The crackdown on the "gutter oil" criminal network has led to the detention of 32 people.
Some people have already changed their eating habits because of the latest food safety scandal in China.
