Fake bomb was chained to Madeleine Pulver's neck
Police in Australia have described a device chained around an 18-year-old woman's neck for 10 hours as a "very, very elaborate hoax".
Madeleine Pulver, aged 18, has been released from hospital after checks following the ordeal, in which what was thought to be an explosive device was placed around her neck.
A note left with the device has confirmed the motive for the attack was extortion.
Nick Bryant reports from Sydney.
