Japan earthquake: Struggle of the survivors in cold conditions
The official death toll following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan is more than 3,500 but that is expected to climb to more than 10,000.
Nearly half a million people have been made homeless and are living in shelters, struggling with extremely cold conditions.
Alistair Leithead reports from some of the worst-affected coastal areas in the north of the country.
