Japan earthquake: Town flattened by tsunami


The town of Minamisanriku has been swept away by the tsunami, with only a handful of buildings standing, and 10,000 people are reported to be missing.

Minamisanriku is a port town in north-east Japan of around 20,000, and was directly hit by the wall of water.
