Hot air balloon makes emergency landing on water

Help

A hot air balloon steered off course and missed its landing, forcing it to put down in the middle of Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay on Thursday.

The balloon was meant to land at St. Kilda beach but was pushed out by strong winds.

Victoria Water Police said none of the 11 passengers on the balloon was injured.

John Davidson the balloon pilot said: "It's not an everyday occurrence, that's for sure."
