North Korea hit by severe floods, state media reports

Help

North Korea appears to be in the grip of massive floods after at least a week of torrential rain, according to reports on the country's state-run television station.

What little infrastructure there is outside the capital has been shown to be badly damaged, but the media has praised Kim Jong-il for sending military vehicles to help trapped civilians.

Jonathan Josephs reports.
