Audio slideshow: The ends of the line in Shanghai
The Shanghai Metro comprised just five stops when it opened in 1993 but has expanded rapidly in the past 20 years and is now one of the fastest-growing transit systems in the world.
This summer Shanghai-based British photographer Liz Hingley spent two months travelling to every terminus and created images of the people, landscapes and communities that she found at the ends of Shanghai's urban sprawl.Continue reading the main story
