Afghanistan's Ashraf Ghani leads in early vote count

Ashraf Ghani has won 56.44% of votes cast in Afghanistan's presidential election, according to preliminary results.

Rival Abdullah Abdullah recorded 43.56% of the vote according to Ahmad Yusuf Nuristani, chairman of the Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan.
