One of the greatest ever racing drivers, Sir Jack Brabham, has died, at the age of 88. He died peacefully at home, after a long battle with liver disease.

The Australian driver won the Formula 1 championship three times - once in a car that he had designed and built himself, something no other driver has ever done.

The country's prime minister, Tony Abbott, said Australia had "lost a legend".
