Lawn cotton increasingly popular with Pakistani designers

Pakistan's textile industry is its biggest sector, contributing 8.5% of the country's GDP and employing more than 40% of the industrial workforce.

And it is the luxury end of the market which is attracting increasing interest.

Fashion designers are using lawn cotton - long seen as a staple for summer clothes - to create branded outfits in an attempt to move into the lucrative export market too.
