N Korea confirms removal of powerbroker Chang Song-thaek

Pictures showing North Korea's second-most powerful man being forcibly removed from a senior Party meeting have been shown on the country's state television.

Jang Song-thaek is the uncle of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un, and had been given the job of guiding and mentoring the young leader as he assumed power two years ago.
