Japan-Russia ties: From 1905 to now

Japan and Russia have agreed to hold joint military exercises and combine forces over cyber security.

Foreign ministers from the two countries have been meeting in Tokyo.

They are the highest level talks between the two nations for many years, after a number of rifts.
