Two men have been arrested by Indian police following the death of an 11-year-old girl who was allegedly set on fire after she threatened to identify a man who tried to rape her.

The case has sparked protests in Calcutta but on a smaller scale than demonstrations seen following the death of a woman raped on a bus in Delhi last year, as the BBC's Rajesh Joshi explains.
